Good news for #TeamFreshMilk!
Idols South Africa’s very own, Thami Shoebe has dropped a new album aptly titled ‘Never Lost’.
Thami when asked about what he was trying to achieve with the album, Thami said it is “meant to breach a gap between the Brenda fassie Afro pop sounds to the soulful and still authentic sounds of Amanda Black and the likes of Musa and Vusi Nova. It’s a blend of sounds merging RnB, Afro pop and my cultural heritage to complete it the music”.
Thami has never lost….
Even though he lost the Idols SA S12 winner title to Noma, he feels that he actually never lost. This is why his past experinces, good and bad, have been the inspiration behind his album.
“I’m inspired by the bad things that I overcame as I was growing up. Sometimes we think all things we go through are meant to stop us from reaching our full potential, but they are actually a big part of who we are, where we are and what we want to be! I’m here today ‘Never Lost’, my first album.”
Thami also lists accomplished artists like Kem, Vusi Nova and Kelly Khumalo – who is going to be guest judge on tonight’s show [Sunday 30 at 17:30 on Mzansi Magic] as some of his biggest inspirations.
